Tips for Great Looking Hands

hands Keeping hands and nails beautiful can become a challenge.

Here are some simple steps that will improve the appearance of your hands and nails and keep them looking great all year long.

  • Moisturize on a regular basis.
  • Nails and cuticles require a little extra attention  - use cuticle oil, it is better able to penetrate the skin and moisturize the cuticle area than a cream.
  • Once a week try soaking your nails in some warm olive oil for a few minutes and then rubbing the oil into your nails and cuticles.

  • Use professional nail strengtheners to combat peeling and brittle nails. Be sure to consult a professional salon as nail hardeners sold in drugstores often contain formaldehyde and other damaging ingredients, which will actually dry out your nails and make the problem worse rather than better.

  • Some final points to remember:
  • Invest some time and effort in your hands and nails.
  • Wear gloves when your hands are in water or using chemicals.
  • Always protect them from the elements including the sun, cold, wind etc.
  • Keep nails filed smooth so as not to get caught or snagged.
  • Finally, moisturize regularly.
