BALNEA SPA is an international class spa, offering spa treatments that are inspired

by the four corners of the world.  This magnificent spa is located in the private nature reserve of Bromont-sur-le-lac and nestled into the side of a mountain. 

The actual building was built to house the equestrian athletes during the 1976 Olympics, and with its dormer windows and steep roof, it has a rustic look, at least from the outside.

The interior is chic, cool (in both senses of the word) and trendy. Light pours through windows and glass walls. The decor is retro - black leather sofas and Barcelona chairs, made famous by Mies van der Rohe in 1929. Fireplaces are a feature of Balnea, they stretch from the floor to the ceiling and give a focal point to the central hall.

Visitors who want to relax and revive during their spa holiday can enjoy the very special treatments at Balnea Spa. The panoramic Finnish saunas, Turkish baths, outdoor whirlpool baths with salted water, heated terraces, waterfalls, a pond in the forest, solarium offering a beautiful view of the Appalachian Mountains and a gastronomic restaurant-delicatessen. are an essential part of Nordic spas because the treatments work on the principle of spending 15 to 20 minutes in extreme heat - typically a sauna, steam room or whirlpool bath - then a couple of minutes in cold water. The rest period, which follows, allows your body temperature to stabilize before a new cycle of hot and cold.
