True Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka. The Cinnamon used in North America is from the cassia tree which is grown in Vietnam, China, Indonesia, and Central America.

Yields1 Serving

 2 cups organic unsweetened apple cider or apple juice
 ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
 ¼ tsp ground ginger
 2 tsp maple syrup
 ½ an orange, sliced
 ¼ tsp ground cardamom (optional)
 Fresh, peeled ginger slices

In a saucepan, heat the apple cider over low heat in a saucepan.

Add cinnamon, ginger, maple syrup and any other spices desired to the cider.

Place orange slices in mug and add cardamom and fresh ginger. Pour hot cider into mugs and serve hot. Both you and your body will enjoy this one.
