Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them. - John Updike
Every person has a Dream:
Years ago, two regular guys got together in their garage and came up with an idea. They wanted to build the world's first personal computer. All the "experts" told them they couldn't do it - and IBM was the "only game in town" - but they listened to their hearts and after a while they launched what became the most successful company of its time - Apple Computer.
Those two guys were named Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak - who are now both multi-millionaires.
So what separates those who realize their dreams from those who don't?
Three simple things:
- A deep passion and commitment to what you are doing.
- A clear focus and inner clarity of what's most important in your life.
- An unwavering sense of purpose - knowing there are great things to be created every day.
Reassessing:
Are you connected with your inner passions and living that passion daily?
When you live from your inner passions you'll never have to seek approval from others. You'll "chart your own course" and be the navigator of your own destiny.
More importantly, you'll feel whole, connected and inspired. So go ahead reassess your personal life, your relationships, your prosperity, and, your family life.
Create a Journal:
Journalling helps you grow. It helps you get in touch with who you really are...your essence. It helps put you in touch with the dreamer in you. It nourishes your dreams and provides clarity, discovery, and authentic expression. It allows you to be in the moment
with your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Obstacles:
Simply - overcome them! Be sure to be around people that believe in you and your destiny.
Words of Wisdom:
Making Dreams Come True...
Sometimes, events in your life happen that make you re-evaluate what is important; a divorce, the illness and death of a loved one, a career change. In my mid forties, I faced all three of these life events. It was a time to stop and take a hard look at what my values were and what I wanted to get and give in this lifetime.
1. Build a Dream ~ First you have to have a dream for it to come true. This may seem like a blinding glimpse of the obvious but it is amazing how many people go through life not really taking the time to understand what they want. I couldn’t build a dream without taking a look at my core values. They are the foundation of any passionate dream. They incorporate everything of importance in my life.
2. Surround Yourself with People Who Believe in Your Dream ~ People with passion
about their dreams can articulate it so well that they attract others who want to be a part of it. Those who don’t align with that vision will fall away and you replace them with people who have equal or better skill sets to help you meet your goals. It’s amazing how this works.
3. Work Hard and Be Open to How Success Presents Itself ~ My team and I have worked very hard to build the best experience possible by listening to our clients and incorporating positive changes. We have allowed the dream to evolve in ways that we would not have thought of when we first started, but as opportunities have presented themselves we’ve been open to considering what they would mean to us and we’ve become more defined on who we are and how we make a difference in a very competitive world.
For me, building the dream has been a lot of hard work and I’m glad “I didn’t know what I didn’t know” when I set out. Most entrepreneurs that I’ve spoken to have said the same thing, "you just realize that you are living your dream and with success you are certain that you are exactly where you want to be in life right now".
